Centauro Rent a Car opens new office in Porto, Portugal

2016 has been an important year for the expansion of Centauro Rent a Car in Portugal, with the opening of new offices in Faro, Lisbon & Porto

On December 17th, we opened our new delegation in Porto, Portugal, located in the vicinity of the main airport of the city. The new office boasts wide facilities of more than 2,500sqm, a large 700 sqm space for customer support with a check-in and a check-out office and an extensive space for our new car rental fleet.

In order to offer to our customers the best quality product, our complete fleet will be composed of brand new cars. Our rental vehicles exceed the figure of 4000 cars for rent in Portugal, with the addition of this new office in Porto to our international delegations located in Faro & Lisbon.

The "Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport of Porto", also known as Porto Airport is a strategic location to seat our new international delegation. Porto Airport is considered one of the best European airports, during the past year 2015 it has beaten its historical record with more than 8.1 million passengers and an annual growth of 16.7%.

Porto Airport is a growing tourist destination due to the presence of dozens of airlines that operate regularly, its low cost flights and the great international offer, with more than 60 connections to european and international destinations.

Among the leading companies operating in this destination we can find TAP, Ryanair, Transavia, EasyJet, Iberia, Luthfansa or British Airways, among others. Some of the factors that have contributed to the accelerated growth of the Porto Airport are the good communications between the two main destinations in Portugal, Lisbon and Porto, which are connected by direct flights with companies such as TAP Portugal, or the incorporation of Ryanair to Porto Airport in 2009, which has increased the presence of flights and passengers in a 25%.

The city of Porto is considered one of the most important cities of Portugal, along with its capital, Lisbon. Located in the north of Portugal, Porto is one of the highest economic powers for its developed industrial sector.
