A minivan/people carrier is an interesting vehicle to hire and enables you to plan family outings in comfort. The surrounding areas of Spain’s capital are fantastic to discover first-class natural parks and enchanting villages and towns. We propose 4 very interesting stops around Madrid to enjoy with your family in your minivan/people carrier.
1. Excursion to Buitrago de Lozoya
The younger members of the family will feel like they are in a fairy tale in this medieval town. It is one of the best-conserved and maintained on mainland Spain. Buitrago de Lozoya is protected by a 9 metre wall, from where you can contemplate the town and its surroundings. We cannot forget to mention its castle, giving the town even more of a special feel. Mendoza Castle offers theatrical visits each weekend which they adapt to the younger crowd.
Last but not least, for those art lovers, don´t miss the Picasso museum. It may seem like a strange location for such valuable objects, but Picassos barber was from Buitrago de Lozoya.
