What do you need to do before picking up the keys at the locker?
Create your Centauro ID ✅
It only takes 2 minutes, the time it takes to take a photo of your documentation. And you will always be virtually identified in all your rentals with Centauro.
Pay for the fuel tank ✅
After returning the car, we will automatically refund the amount of fuel you have not used.
How to pick up your car keys at the SmartKey locker?
1. Go to our locker
Go directly to our locker without going to the counter.
2. Scan the QR Code with your camera
Start the collection process by scanning the QR code that you will find on the screen.
3. Confirm the opening by pressing the locker screen
Once identified, you must press the button that will appear on the locker screen to confirm the opening.
4. Pick up your key
Once the locker is open, you can pick up your key, and see the registration number of your Centauro car and the space where it is waiting for you on the mobile phone screen. Don't forget to close the locker.
Frequently Asked Questions about SmartKey Automated Locker Collection
No. To enjoy SmartKey automated collection, you must make the full payment of all rental fees (including fuel) at least 24 hours before the start date and time of your rental.
When you return the car, we automatically refund the amount for any unused fuel.
Of course. Just like with any other type of Centauro booking, you will receive your contract in PDF format via email when your rental begins.
You can enjoy the benefits of SmartKey automated collection by using either the Centauro website or app. To start SmartKey collection in any of its forms, simply access your booking through your private area.

This service must be available at your chosen destination for you to enjoy SmartKey automated collection without waiting and without going to the counter.
If SmartKey is available at the office where you are renting, you will only need to create your Centauro ID to identify yourself virtually on our website and app, and to have your rental agreements ready for collection whenever you rent with Centauro. To create your Centauro ID, simply take a photo with your mobile of:
- Your national ID card or passport
- Your driving licence
