This beach is located in a semi-urbanised area to the northwest of the city of Alicante. Abufereta Beach is about 500 m long.
Available services for visitors: Beach patrol and lifeguard service are available during the summer season. Other services include a Red
Cross post, watchtower, foot showers and car parking facilities.
This beach
takes its name from the small inland lagoon (albufera) that once existed here, with a natural port around
which the Iberian-Roman city of Lucentum once flourished, the origin of today's Alicante city.
This beach is located in a cove sheltered from the tides and storms.
