Alicante Airport: advice about your car hire

To follow you will find some advice that may be useful for you to enjoy your car hire in Alicante.

Do not exceed the following speed limits:
- In urban areas 50 km/h
- On main roads 100 km/h
- On motorways 120 km/h
- On other roads 90 km/h
In built-up areas, pay special attention to pedestrians.
Respect all traffic signs and rules.
Remember: in Spain you must drive on the right.
Maintain the safety distance between vehicles.
Always use the safety belt and make sure all other occupants of the vehicle al use it, including those in the back seats.
Remember that the use of mobile phones and earphones whilst driving is forbidden.
If you witness an accident, call 112 to request assistance.
Never drive for more than two hours at a time. At the slightest sign of fatigue drowsiness, stop and rest.
Avoid heavy meals and alcoholic drinks before driving.
Children should sit in the back seats, in seats appropriate for their size and weight. You can ask for them before picking up your car.

Pay particular attention when driving in adverse weather conditions (rain, fog, strong winds).
Park your car in well-lit places, preferably car parks.

When you return the rental car, make sure the person you hand it over to is wearing our uniform and is properly identified as an employee of Centauro rent a car.
In case of accident, fill in the "Amicable Accident Report" ("Parte amistoso de accidentes") which you will find in the vehicle documents folder. Contact the authorities and inform Centauro rent a car of what has happened.
